Some of the mares
enjoying the shade in Montana.
Pair O'Docs Paints has
recently relocated to the magestic mountains of Western Montana in
Seeley Lake and is owned by Tanya and
Alistair Fyfe. We are originally from western Canada and had called
North Dakota "home" for the past nine years. We share our home with
Casey, a black lab, Harry the husky, Cleo, an English Springer Spaniel,
and too many cats.
Our horses are a large part of our lives as we enjoy both riding for
pleasure and breeding quality horses with color. Our broodmare band has
been established through years of careful planning and training. Our
goal is to improve the American Paint Horse breed with excellent
conformation, size, brains, and of course, colour.
Our mares are of American Paint Horse Association (APHA), Thoroughbred
(Jockey Club) and Arabian (CAHR or AHA) registries.
We sell horses of all ages and do our own training here on the farm. We
gear our training program to produce "the perfect trail horse". These
horses load, pack, cross creeks, carry gear, walk mountain trails,
pony, and are comfortable with dogs, cats and other horses.
Our stallion, Dash , is homozygous for the
tobiano gene so our foals all carry at least one copy of that same
gene, meaning they all have tobiano patterning as well as the potential
to pass on the pattern to their own offspring. Dash not only is
homozygous, he is handsome and well-bred, too. Dash is double
registered in both the APHA and the PtHA.
We try to spend as much time as possible socializing our foals as soon
as they are born; our entire herd is friendly and approachable and a
lot of fun to be around.
Tanya is DVM/owner of Seeley Swan Veterinary & Grooming here in
Seeley Lake where she practices on small animals and horses. Alistair
is a family physician with MedCenter One in Bismarck, ND, and
a part time family physician with Seeley Swan Medical Center in Seeley
Lake, Montana.
Seeley Lake is a gorgeous community in the Seeley Swan valley of
Montana. Our ranch borders USFS land which in turn borders the Bob
Marshall Wilderness. We have already had some wonderful rides in the
mountains and we look forward to years of exploring the wilderness
around us.
